Jean Hartley

Jean Hartley, 79, of Aurora, Ontario passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023, embraced by her daughters. Jean was born on Vancouver Island, British Columbia and moved to St. David’s, Ontario in her earlier years and raised her family in Unionville later on. Jean worked for the City of Toronto for most of her career life in Community and Social Services. Jean had a passion for food and travel and a flare for decorating. She also enjoyed a solid day of golf followed by comradery with friends on a patio, post-game. Jean was a doting mother, loving friend and exceptional human being. Jean will be dearly missed and always remembered. The family wishes to thank all who contributed to her joy and happiness.

Jean was predeceased by her first husband Stanley Griffiths, and her second husband Lorne Hartley. Jean is survived by her 2 daughters Sandi Griffiths and Linda (Griffiths) Latta. Jean requested a small gathering be held to celebrate her and honour friends and family. We request all of Jean’s friends and loved ones join us in celebrating her beautiful life with a Memorial Service, at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G6W8 at 11:00 am on Thursday September 21, 2023 followed by a Reception.
