A Life Well-Lived
Dad built a life filled with love, laughter, and a constant soundtrack of music that resonated deeply within him. He shared an incredible bond with his beloved Pamela (nee Beckett). Their partnership spanned nearly 54 years of marriage and 59 years together, a true testament to their devotion and shared adventures. He was a proud father to Billy (Jessica) and Tara (Kelvin). He cherished his granddaughter, Charlotte, who lovingly called him ‘Bubby’, and his grandson, Zack, who brought immense joy into his life as ‘Grandpa Al’.
Born in London, England, Dad’s journey truly began when he arrived in Canada at six months old with his parents, Margaret and James.

Family Man
Dad grew up alongside his sister Sheila and his brother James, both of whom predeceased him.
His extended family includes his brothers-in-law Scott Beckett (Lori-Ann) and Brent Beckett, along with his nieces and nephews Rob, Kris, Robert, Thomas, Kristine, Michael, and James. Family gatherings filled with laughter, stories, and music were a highlight of dad’s life.

Passions and Friendships
Music was more than just a passion for our dad; it was a profound connection to the world and its people. As a young man, he was part of the band The Creeps followed by The Magic Circus, that formed lifelong friendships. His love for music permeated every aspect of his life, and he remained close with his bandmates to this day.
Dad also found immense joy on the golf course, not just for the honor of being Club Captain at DiamondBack, but for the friendships, camaraderie, laughter and endless storytelling shared along the fairways. Every hole played and every shot taken holds a memory – etched in smiles, banter and bonds built over the game he loved.
