Don’t even know where to begin, what to say that can express the extreme loss we have felt.   It’s only been a few days since We lost you.  My little brother my little marshmallow.  From the day you were born, too your first word of  “Chancha” to that devilish look on our day of our communion.  To the last time I got to embrace your hug and hear you say your last I love you.   My amazing sister in law niece and nephew will and for ever be proud to have had you as their daddy, husband and best friend.  You left behind an amazing mark on anyone that met you, your nieces nephews, and family will always cherish your memories.    And as I sit here writing this you got the last joke in on me by erasing everything that I originally wrote. And suddenly the words sister you’re a poop appeared. I will forever love you and cherish you may you rest in peace my little marshmallow.😭😭😭😭😭

Firstly,  I would like to pass my heartfelt sympathy to all family and friends of Marcelo.  It's been a long time since I've seen Marcelo, but there are plenty of good memories growing up at Jane&Finch(1825) together back in the day.  The neverending jokes he had and quick wit were quite evident at such a young age. We managed to stay out of trouble by playing foot hockey/wrestling in the building hallway.  We had a special bond together, because yes, we're both HABS fans (sorry Fern).  Even though we have grown apart and haven't been in touch in years, our friendship in the 80's will never be forgotten. You were one of a kind.

This is a hard post, I don’t know where to begin or end. 
You knew I was an over thinker. You were always someone I could go to to talk me down. I’ve been blessed with great men in my life, and you were definitely one of them. You showed me it was ok to show your child like spirit while being a bomb ass boss. You showed me it was ok to embrace creativity and ultimately do what makes me happy. Above all, you showed me family will be supportive and compassionate, no matter what. You were always there if I had a crazy idea or needed to be reigned in. You would take me in as your own if needed, and I could never repay that. Thank you for my amazing aunt and cousins. Being able to grow beside them has been amazing. I wish I could have been there more. Family was your life. I know how proud you were of Izzy and Ozzy, and how much you loved Aunty BA.
I can’t explain how much I miss you, how I wish I reached out or visited more.  I hope I can make you proud tio. Meet you in degobah. 

Side note: fully aware that my dad and uncle Jimmy will go on about my grammar and what not. You’re welcome for a good conversation starter. Te amo. 

Sorry I didn’t hear about this until now. I am so sorry for your loss and will always remember Marcelo with the fondest of memories.


 Marcelo… My brother in-law, my sounding board, father of my niece & nephew… but most of all my friend. 
 
  As kids the fun we had back at the building playing hockey & causing trouble.  Almost every night going to the store together for a bag of milk or bread, & stopping at Becker’s for a can of pop that you could chug one shot, lol! 
 
  Around 89 we lost touch, until years later when one day you walked back in with my sister.  I was skeptical at the beginning, & probably overly protective, but it didn’t take long (& I mean not long at all) before I realized just how serious you were, & how much you were actually in love with her… to the point anyone could have got a sugar over load being around you guys, lol!
 
  Around ’97 we started working together… little did we know that would be the start of a roughly 16 year run through 2 companies.  In those years, so much happened… you married & became part of our family, you became a father to 2 wonderful (most of the time, lol) kids.
 
  I remember going to see you & Betty Anne when Izzy was born… 1st thing BA said, “you know he changed her first diaper, & he put it on backwards” I laughed so hard!  From the minute I saw you holding Izzy though, to the look of awe as BA semi-tossed her to me lol, I could see you were going to be a fierce protector of her, & that she was your little angel you’d love forever… 
 
  Fast forward 3-1/2 years, here comes the boy… the pride & joy in your eyes & incredibly huge smile on your face just beaming during Ozzy’s first year of hockey when he won a tournament MVP as the goalie… 
 
  Family… that was life for you… I wish you could’ve been here to see all that people who came, & how loved you were…
 
  Gonna miss the bantering back & forth, you starting the political arguments at every family gathering, don’t worry though I’ll keep those Liberals in check, lol!
 
  Never going to be the same without you… but thank you for the time I… everyone, was able to have with you…

Words can’t describe the way I’m feeling right now still doesn’t feel real nor do I want to believe it you were an amazing man and the best uncle anyone could ask for I’ll never forget the time I kicked your butt wrestling in the back yard. I’ll always remember the good times we had cause there was a lot of them I’ll never forget that contagious smile or the sound of your voice calling out “hey lil Brando”! You rest easy my friend and I know you’ll have a doobie waiting for me when we meet again! Te amo much tio marshmallow hasta que nos encontremos de nuevo

I am  deeply sorry to here of the passing of Marcelo. My deepest sympathy goes out to Marcelo family at this difficult time.

Marcelo you are a great man you will truly be missed. We appreciate everything you have done for us on a professional level. You were kind spirited and always a delight to deal with.

Uncle Marcelo.  It still doesn’t feel real and hasn’t sunk in yet. I know the saying goes “they take the best ones first” but this just isn’t fair.  I’ve known you since I was (somehow) smaller then you and while I’m sure you’d have some witty remark about that, the joke had to be made one more time. 

You always had the best advice to give when it was needed, especially in the last couple of years and could always be counted on to know what to do regarding work or personal matters. Somehow you could always make a room burst out laughing harder then anyone else I knew, even without saying a word. You’ll forever be missed by me and everyone else who met you over the years.  You certainly were a character and could leave a positive impression on anyone you met.

I guess this is goodbye for now. I can proudly say that I’ve been incredibly lucky to have you as an influence, Uncle and as part of my life over the years.

He was the best brother in law that a guy could ask for , I’m gonna miss him horribly, that last thing we talked about was how great my kids turned out and how proud he was that I stepped up and took the wheel , I’m remember when I proposed to Monica Clavijo-Campbell that he pulled me aside and asked me if was sure I wanted to marry her , he said to , you know she’s crazy right , if I was you I’d run lol , but if I’d taken his advice my life would be so much poorer for he would have never been in it , I’m gonna miss you brother till we meet again

Marcelo....My memory of you will be engraved in my mind and in my heart forever.  It was great having you be part of our team here at Canada Waterworks Inc.  Your cheerful smile and laughter filled our office.  You kept your friends in stitches all the time.  Even as I look at your obituary picture, I can't believe how perfect it is!!! Big smile, holding on to your Tim's!!  I especially enjoyed the banter we had going about the Leafs and Canadiens.  Hey Marcelo....notice how I put the leafs first?!!!  Your views on current events and world politics were at times outlandish, but extremely humorous. I also loved the nick name you gave me  "mas macho".  not only the name but the manner in which you said it.  You seen me at my worst and my best.  I could count on you for anything!
You were loved and respected by all!  Customers, supplier and co workers.  I will miss you Marcelo.  Not only for the hard worker you were but for the laughs you provided.  
I guess it is good bye for now.  Rest In Peace Marcelo.

Marcelo was such a wonderful man with such a big smile and a heart of gold,  I met him through his wife, she drove me to school and we lived in the same area. Even baby sat their kids.     they always take the good ones first ❤️

My favourite memory was hanging out with Ozzy and Izzy. At milestone complex. And He would always call us in for freezes when we were younger He was such a great man. I looked up to him like a father. I can't believe he's gone 😭. May you rest easy in god's hands.
