She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street
She’s the smell of certain perfumes and foods you remember, the fragrance of life itself.
She’s the cool hand on your brow when you’re not feeling well and the supportive and loving words you need when life’s obstacles block your path.
She’s the breath in the air on a cold winters day and a warm hand of love to provide you direction

She is the sound of the rain the lulls  you to sleep, the colors of the rainbow. 
She is Christmas morning 
Your mother lives inside your laughter 
She is the place you come from, your first home
She is the map you follow with every step you take 
She is your first love, your first friend and even your first adversary.
But nothing on Earth can separate you 
Not time
Not space 
Not even death




Dear Oma, 

You are the light of my life. You have always shown me such kindness, resilience, and love. You were not only my Oma, you were my mom and best friend. I will always keep you close to my heart. I’m so grateful and privileged to have you as my Oma.

Thank you for teaching me so many valuable life lessons. Your guidance will continue to shape me in the years to come.

Maria (Mom, Oma) was a woman with such a big heart! She persevered through great hardships and raised a very successful family. She had so much love to give. My condolences to Paul, Zofia and Anna.
