Mrs. Marion "Mickey" Frances (Dale) Biggers

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marion “Mickey” Biggers, beloved wife of the late Jack Biggers, on December 18, 2025, at the age of 94, at the home of her daughter, Caroline de Paiva, in Aurora, Ontario.

Born on December 2, 1931, in Alexandria, Ontario, Marion lived a long and faithful life marked by devotion to family, quiet service, and steadfast Catholic faith. She is survived by her son, Andrew Biggers (wife Marie-Christine Perron), and her daughters, Caroline de Paiva (husband Fernando de Paiva) and Valerie Ellis (husband Drew Ellis). She was a devoted grandmother to Cleary Ellis, Teghan Ellis, Braedyn Ellis, Wiley de Paiva, Flynn Ellis, Tiernan Ellis, Rowan de Paiva, and Tatum Ellis, to whom she gave much of her time and affection, particularly in her later years.

Marion was employed for many years at Shouldice Hospital, where she was known for her diligence and reliability. Following her retirement, she dedicated herself fully to her family, especially her grandchildren, taking great joy in their lives and accomplishments.

A devout Roman Catholic, Marion’s faith was central to her life and guided her values, priorities, and perseverance. She found peace in prayer and in the traditions of the Church.

She had a deep appreciation for the simple and beautiful things in life. She loved arts and crafts, took great pleasure in gardening, and had a particular fondness for small animals, all of which reflected her gentle and attentive nature.

Marion will be remembered for her quiet strength, her faithfulness, and her enduring love for her family. Her life stands as a testament to devotion, humility, and care for others.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.

Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, located at 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON on January 8, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15347 Yonge St, Aurora, ON on January 9, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A committal service will follow at Aurora Cemetery, 14253 Yonge St, Aurora, ON on January 9, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
