Nita is often in my thoughts. She was a good friend and very insightful. A talented & gifted woman.  She will remain in my heart. I miss our chats.

Nita, thank you for the many malaria treatments and for sharing your wonderful dogs with us. Hope Sugar and Hunter have found you...you were indeed a special person!

Greetings from Belleville.  We are so sorry to hear of Nita's loss.  Our lives were enriched because we knew her and our world expanded because of the dogs she introduced us to. It was a little hard to come home after Nita's funeral, filled with such wonderful memories of times spent with her, and realize that she would no longer be here to make us laugh and to enjoy amazing moments together.  Nita's funeral was the most memorable I have ever attended, lighting up her unique and wonderful personality and celebrating, not only her life, but those of all her marvellous offspring. What a magnificent way to say goodbye!  Thank you and many blessings to all her family.

I am sure Nita is stirring things up in Heaven.  Wonderful, independent lady.

Nita along with George and friends gave legendary New Year's Eve parties.  She will be missed.  Never one to sugar coat her ideas, she told it as it was.  I am sure she will be stirring up a little controversy at the Rainbow Bridge.  RIP friend.

My sincere sympathy to Nita's family.  We shared many stories and good times at the dog shows and around the table on The Ridgeway in London.  Visitors were always made welcome and the door always open.  Whippets at the ready to greet visitors.  Many great discussions took place and the world's problems solved.  Kindness was always shown to my kids who also share fond memories of this very interesting woman. She sure had a spark! The delicious home made bread & yummy soups always available!  She has left quite a mark and will be greatly missed.   But the memories will stay.     Stephanie Hill near London, On

Nita was one of the first whippet people I learned from.  She taught me how to trim whiskers and nails.  I loved her sense of humour, her very kennel name was a real twist on the whole backyard breeder theme.  I have missed running into her ringside.  My heart felt condolences to your family.

I remember Nita with affection and admiration from the 1970s when I was on Toronto City Council and Nita was an active, effective volunteer working on issues of benefit to the whole community.  She was special, a great person to know.  My condolences to her family.

I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Nita's passing she was a Grand Lady with a wicked sense of humor. I have wonderful memories of her when I lived in Ontario & loved her cards & letters she sent when I moved back west, all written in calligraphy; I still have them. I'm so happy my Dad & sister Lynda were able to visit with her before she left us. My thoughts are with family & friends at this time of sorrow R.I.P. Aunt Nita
