Owen Tony Vincent Dwyer

Suddenly on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the age of 66. Loved by his children, Kelley, Brandon and his wife Pamela, Yvonne, Candice, Jennifer and Michael and by his grandchildren Derek and Brody Dwyer, Emily, Thomas and Jeremy Lewis and Ava Gray. Beloved husband of Lucy Ren. Dear son of Yvonne and the late Owen Dwyer. Brother of Arden and Gary Menard, Jane and Bob Downs, Kevin and Lisa Dwyer and the late Danny Dwyer. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Tony is remembered by his children’s mothers, Anne Dwyer, Martine Fraiberg, and Mary Dwyer. Tony spent many years on Bay Street, first as a trader and then as a founding partner and executive at First Canada Securities International, a firm that was acquired by the Canada Trust Company. He was an innovative and passionate leader in the securities industry and he loved being a “captain of industry”. His most fond memories were of summers at the farm with his children and endless rounds of golf with his many friends and business associates. He was extremely generous to his friends and family and fiercely loyal to his inner circle. Services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Pkwy S, Aurora on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation one-hour prior. Cremation to follow.
