Rosemarie was born in Lyleton, Manitoba on December 20, 1926.
She was predeceased by Hartley on January 1, 1982; baby daughter Gail Lyn, her parents, Andrew and Loretta Gardiner; brother Harry and his wife Isobel; brother Orland and his wife Claire; brother Ted and his wife Thelma and nephew, Terry Gardiner.
She is survived by sister, June Kaufman, brother-in-law Nicholas and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was a strong woman who held her convictions, enabling her to carry on with the steadfast resolve after Hartley's passing. Her nephews and nieces were her family and she took great pride in all of their endeavours. Always being there for them with generous support and encouragement, celebrating in their successes and worried while they struggled.
She had a unique perspective of Canada having travelled and making her home with Hartley in virtually every region of Canada, through his career with Canada Custom and Excise Service. Finally settling in Toronto in May, 1979.
She had a particular love affair with her cherished Blue Jays, developing an encyclopedic knowledge of the game and players. She loved music in all its facets particularly relishing the period she spent as a member of the Sweet Adelines, competing in many international competitions with them.
For all those lucky enough to be a part of Rosemarie's life; laughed together, sang together, cheered the Blue Jays together, sorrowed together we kindly ask that you do something that you knew she loved. That would make her smile.
