This past week I became aware of Shirley's passing. I want to express my condolences to Bev and Shirley's family regarding their loss of such a very special lady.
I was one if Shirley's pupils in her first school, S. S. # 8 Emily.  Shirley entered my life at a very special time and became a source of encouragement and care,  from simply being there, teaching me to water ski, visits to the farm and  highlighting my young life when asked to be a junior bridesmaid. Along  with Shirley's many gifts she was a favourite teacher.  It appears where ever she was; Shirley brought beauty and warmth.  Always close to my heart.

Doug and I were terribly saddened on our return from vacation to hear that Shirl had passed. I will always remember the good times we had together teaching and as friends for many years. Our condolences to the family.

I was so fortunate to have been a friend of dear Shirleys, if only for a short time.She was one Super Lady. My Deepest Sympathy to Chris and Parker and all her loved ones,she sure loved you dearly.

The Board of Directors would like to send their condolences to the family and friends of Shirley.  Shirley was a ready participant in condo activities and always went the extra mile when we had a themed barbecue!  One memorable occasion was the western theme where Shirley arrived with a big smile on her face in full western gear, including cowboy boots, looking as lovely as usually.  Her smiling face and cheerful personality will definitely be missed in our neighbourhood!

Growing up through summers in Muskoka and New Years parties in the city (and many occasion in between) I was extremely fortunate to be surrounded by our parents friends (which felt more like extended family). Starting from a child's viewpoint, then through the teenage years and finally into adulthood I can truly say that Shirley always held a very special place in my heart. She truly radiated kindness and always greeted with a warm hug and a desire to know how life was treating me. 

The long weekend at the cottage won't be the same without her, but the echo of her wonderful smile and fantastic laugh will always be felt. Thank you Shirley for always being so kind and thoughtful. You are truly missed.

What a pleasure it was to know and be around Shirley..

To the Baile Family - Sorry to hear that your mother has passed away. She was a neighbour of mine at the Ballantrae Glof Club Community. I spoke to her every day when she walked the dog Jenna. She will be missed by all of her neighbours here at BGCC. Please except our condolences from Bob & Carmen LaCavera & SEVEN our Schnauzer.

Shirley was one of the most beautiful people I've known. It wasn't unusual for her to bring me a little surprise Boxer tchotchke when she came to pick Herbie and then Jada up after being groomed...I have every single one displayed, and will always remember her with fondness each time I dust them! Rest peacefully, Shirl...we are all better for having you in our lives.

Growing up, I spent my summers in the pool of the Baile's house. Shirley was always laughing, looking tanned and gorgeous, and feeding us grilled cheeseburgers. Those were beautiful times and I'll always remember her that way.

What can I possibly say other than it was an absolute privilege to have known and loved Shirley.  She radiated with life and kindness and beamed every time she talked about her 'boys' and grandchildren. I know my Dad would have been waiting for her with a hug and a big glass of wine!

Dear Parker and Chris.i am so sad  that Shirley passed away. I have wonderful memories and stories to tell of the times we spent
together -on land and sea- with Parker and Len. As well as the two of us at our lunches at the Prince, at "our" table,  having our " do

As you are aware, I have been fortunate to know Shirley as very special friend  whose smile, enthusiasm  and optimism with her signature touch of green,graced almost every social event in Ballantrae Golf and Country Club.  She was blessed with two of the most wonderful sons who spent  hours  at her side every day over the last few months.  Shirley's death will touch all of us, and she will be sadly missed.

Dear Parker, Christopher and your families,

My sister, Marlene, and brothers, Brian and Mike Boyle, are very sorry to learn of the death of your mother.  We were next-door neighbours on Rosscowan.  I believe your family moved in before we did and we moved in February 1967.  The last time I saw your mom was at the visitation for your father.  I went with my father, Peter Boyle, who died in February, 2012.  I will always remember your mother as a vivacious, lively, and charming woman.  She gave her lasagne recipe to my mother and that lasagne recipe is still being made by our family.  Please accept our sympathy.
