LIFE SONG OF ALAN DUFF April 17, 1947 - May 30, 2008 Alan Lawrence Duff was born in South Dakota on April 17, 1947. Our Heavenly Father blessed Alan with beautiful talents and gifts that Alan shared with others throughout his life. Alan was a professional photographer, accomplished musician, artist, author, teacher, friend, brother, uncle, husband, grandfather, son and Dad. His BA in Journalism, passion for history and his life experiences motivated him to write his great American novel, "The Way of the Owl". As an accomplished musician, he wrote songs and taught and played guitar. Alan often played his guitar and sang at our family gatherings. Alan was an avid reader, great with trivia and he entertained the family with his wit, humor and intelligence. He was a sensitive listener who always thought before he spoke. He enjoyed Golf, Snow Skiing, Fishing, Fencing, Bridge and Board games. Alan was a kind, gentle, tender hearted man with a St. Francis like-spirit who loved all God's creatures big and small. Alan will be remembered with love and missed by all his family and friends. Alan, May Our Loving Father in Heaven grant you grace, mercy and eternal peace. We love you and miss you! Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Austin Memorial Park. Obituary and guestbook online at wcfish.com
