Alfonso Michel

Mr. Michel was born February 26, 1936, in Mexico City, Mex., to Arturo Michel and Maria Isabelle Loretto. Al could accomplish anything he put his mind to. He beautifully designed and built all their family homes in San Antonio, New Braunfels and Austin Texas. This was in addition to his career of designing custom homes for custom home builders. He always enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to classical music, and staying active, physically and mentally. He was a very strong and patient man. Two of his favorite artists were Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman.

He is survived by his wife, the love of his life, for 53 years, Josephine. Three daughters and their spouses, Lilly and Blake Sudderth, Monica and John Weigand, Yvonne and Miguel Montemayor, 7 grandchildren, Danica, Dominique, Jacqueline, Christopher, Daniella, Madeline,and Nickolaus. He is also survived by 4 brothers, Arturo, Jorge, Javier and Alberto and many loving nieces and nephews.

The visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a 4:00 p.m. rosary on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home on Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX. Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Austin, TX.
