Alice Castillo Tamayo

Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Antonio Oscar Tamayo; sisters, Irene Roberts, Beatrice Rivera; brothers, Earl, Johnny, Tom, Sandy, Manuel, and Arthur.

Alice leaves behind daughters, Alice Rios and husband Paul, JoAnne Tamayo of Austin; son, Oscar Tamayo and wife Mary Helen of Round Rock; grandchildren, Michelle, Mario, Vanessa; great-grandchild, Aiden; sisters, Carmen Calderon of Austin, Dorothy Laing and husband Raul of Corona, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

To James, Sylvia, Diane and Rick, on behalf of our mother and immediate family, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for all your support, care and affection given to mother, especially during the past few years.

The family wishes to also extend a special thank you to Andrea for her warm and thoughtful friendship and to the birthday club for lasting memories.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mario Tamayo, James Towns, Rick Calderon, Lance Joiner, Todd Gieseke, René Gonzales, Robert Castillo and Pete Rivera. Honorary Pallbearers are Raul Laing, Sandy Castillo, and Bobby Castillo.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 13, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, South Congress. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Thursday, April 14, at Assumption Chapel followed by graveside services.
