She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Elgin, Texas then studied office management and Communications at Durham Business College and ACC. She worked at the Austin-American Statesman, the Medical Exchange Austin, and for the last 28 years she worked in communications at Seton Hospital.
She was baptized into the Church of Christ in Elgin, Texas at age 13. Later she moved to Austin and placed membership at Church of Christ at East Side, where she sang with the Seasonaires and was a member of the Seasoned Saints.
Alinda is preceded in death by her beloved father Ollie Henigan, Jr. and sister Mamie Monroe.
Loved ones who will cherish her loved memories are her mother, Etta Henigan; two daughters, Pamela Hutchison and Amber Kelley; grandsons Amon and Rael Ockletree; granddaughter Malika Ockletree; sisters Maxine Jackson and Felecia Sephus (Robert); brother Kenneth Henigan (Brenda); and a host of other relatives and friends.
