

Allan Frederick Milder, age 69, longtime resident of the Austin area, passed away on November 16, 2012. He was born on October 19, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to David and Edith Milder. He met Susan Berg in 1959 and they were married on January 29, 1966 in Queens, NY. Susan passed away on August 16, 2011.
Allan graduated from Midwood High School in Brooklyn, Class of 1960. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Brooklyn College in 1965 and later earned an MBA from St. Edwards University in 1979. He worked in Human Resources at IBM for 26 years, 1967-1993. He also worked in human resource management for the City of Austin, Austin Energy, Broadwing, and SP3 Group before retiring in 2006. He was active in and served on the board of the Austin Human Resource Management Association (AHRMA), Palmer Drug Abuse Program (PDAP), as well as the Sun City Havarah.
Allan always bragged that his two greatest achievements in life were his two children, Scott Milder and Robyn Milder. He dedicated the last years of his life caring for his wife Susan during the final stages of her battle with cancer.
Allan is survived by his daughter, Robyn Milder of Austin; son, Scott Milder and his wife Leslie of Rockwall and his grandchildren, Thomas, Grace, and Mandy.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Drive in Austin, Texas.
