Amber was born on March 27, 1956 in Long Beach, CA, to Pat Oakstar and Bob Brown. She was raised among the fruit orchards and rolling hills of New Almaden, CA where she cultivated her defining characteristics—an endless love for animals, devotion to family, and a deep compassion for fellow humans in pain or crisis.
Throughout her life, Amber was best known for the love and care she provided to others. She was a nurturing mother and steadfast spouse, with a boundless empathy that was a great comfort to many. She will be greatly missed.
Amber is survived by her mother, Pat, husband, Steven, son, Kasey, brother, Aric, sister, Jody, niece, Laura, and nephews, Clinton, Shane, and Mayank.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, January 31st at 11am CST at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home, 5416 Parkcrest Dr., Austin, TX.
