Amelia Arispe Gonzales

Amelia is survived by her husband Joel Gonzales (married 52 years), six children: Joel Gonzales II, Belinda Gonzales, Rochel Gonzales-Cruz, Jerry Gonzales, Virginia Gonzales, and Esther Jo Gonzales. Amelia has ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Virgie Hernandez, Rachel Almendarez, Cecelia Banda, Lupe Villareal, Mary Coronado, and Larry Moya.

Amelia was employed with The Texas Department of Public Safety for ten years before retiring in 2005. In her leisure, she enjoyed rock and roll and mariachi music, sewing, reading, visiting with family and making tortillas. However, one of her most important things was caring for her dogs. To her family she was a wonderful wife, great mother, great great grandmother, sister, friend, and confidante. Mellie was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Amelia was grateful for meeting the people she met; Having their best interests at heart for the days ahead. And with Jehovah's blessing, thank you.
