

Anastacio J. López (aka Jose, Joe, A.J.) beloved husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather, passed away on April 25, 2008. He was born in Laredo, Texas to Ignacio Eliseo (Arroyo) López & Maria Reyna López and resided most of his life in Austin. He graduated from Martin High School in 1950. Shortly after, he joined the U.S. Air Force & retired in November 1973. He then worked for the Federal Government with the Department of the Treasury; first with the Division of Disbursement and then with the Department of Internal Revenue Service and retired in August 1994. Joe will join his parents, brothers Alfredo, Juanito and Servando Paredez (Quito); also, son Robert López, grandson Donald López and niece Sara Alicia Trevino in Heaven. Mr. Lopez is survived by his loving wife Carmen, sons Joseph, Edward, Samuel, Patrick, Paul, Ignacio and James López; daughers, Gloria (Edward) Loughlin, Maria Teresa, and Suezette López; sisters Gloria Montemayor (Edmundo), and Lucia Gomez (Jesse); many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Michael López, Jeremy López, Julian Gatica, Joe Gatica, Samuel López and Paul López will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in the Wilke-Clay-Fish Chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
