Andrew was born in Houston, Texas on July 1, 1971, the twin to a sister and the second of three children reared in Austin, Texas, where he graduated from McCallum High School (1989). He inherited a rich legacy of faith, family, and education. His name, Andrew means “Manly; warrior; and brave”. He accepted Christ at an early age, joined and baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Marvin Griffin.
Andrew’s parents, Jack Earl Banks Sr. and Annie Mae Robinson Banks preceded him in death (1981; 2016). He leaves to cherish his spirit, one brother, Jack Earl Banks II (Gemma), a twin sister, Dr. Amber Jo Banks, two nieces, one nephew, aunts, an uncle, and a host of cousins and loving friends.
