Ann Chambers Hardy attorney, mom and proud grandmother, and Episcopal certified church musician died on April 19, 2024 at age 81. She was born in Little Rock, Ark in 1943. Ann was raised in Austin and attended Pease, O’Henry and Stephen F Austin High (class of 61), Ann was in the second wave of women to attend St. Marys Law School in San Antonio. She became licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in the federal courts. She worked for the Harris County prosecutor’s office, Austin Police Department, DPS and TDCJ. She retired in 2006.
She is predeceased by her son, Jay Paul Hardy. She is survived by her husband, John R. White; her brother Jim Chambers; her sister from her mother’s second marriage, Pat Keenan Fulford; daughter-in-law, Kirsten Rodine Hardy; and her grandchildren, Eleanor and David Hardy.
