Ann G. Pauli

Born August 24, 1939 in Kermit, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Sheldon Guthrie and Jennye Lee John.

Ann was a 1957 graduate of Midland High School. She received her undergraduate degree in Russian History from The University of Illinois, Urbana. She received her bachelor's degree in Accounting from The University of Texas at El Paso and was a certified public accountant. She received a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, Online Campus in 1996.

Ann was a long time resident of El Paso where she lived since 1971. She worked at Providence Memorial Hospital for several years, and was the President and CEO of the Paso Del Norte Health Foundation until she retired in 2007. Ann also served on the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners from 2006 until 2012.

Ann loved playing with her cats and dogs and also loved to garden. Ann became a Master Gardener in her retirement and volunteered at the Chihuahuan Desert Garden at UTEP.

She is survived by her daughters Catherine (Cossy) Jennifer Hough and spouse Rob Carroll of Austin, Texas and Jessica Ann Hough and spouse Raina Brubaker of Bethesda, Maryland; and by three grandchildren Lily Carroll, Ashton Brubaker and Wesley Brubaker.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, November 12, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church in El Paso, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations be made to one of the two following organizations:
