Anna Lorraine Barrett

Anna Lorraine Barrett of Leander, Texas passed away on Thursday January 15, 2026, at the age of 94. Anna was born on August 24, 1931, in Orleans, Massachusetts and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She worked as a nurse in El Paso, Texas working in intensive care nursery at Providence Hospital. She later went to work for a doctor’s group as a pediatric nurse and when they split the practice, she chose the doctor she wanted to work for and was their head pediatric nurse until she retired.

She loved dogs, reading, the Dallas Cowboys; almost as much as she loved Elvis, spending time with family and especially loved her church family. Anna was a very special person who was also a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward M. Jamieson and Doris L. (Fulcher) Jamieson, former husband Thomas W. Barrett, siblings Edward Jamieson, Audrey (Jamieson) Barnard, Bruce Jamieson, Anita (Jamieson) Walsh and her son Darren B. Barrett

Survived by her children and loved ones, Dawson W. Barrett, Missy R. Barrett, Doreen E. Zajac, Michael J. Zajac, Drew E. Barrett, Yun Hee Barrett and grandchildren Adina L Mortera., Uriah D. Barrett, Sarah E. Barrett, Brittany D. Clawson, Courtney V. Sanders, Gabriel S. Barrett along with five great-granddaughters, and extended nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her son, Drew Barrett and Gentiva Hospice for their compassion and exceptional care they provided for her and for trying to keep her comfortable, and special thanks to her guardian angel Bette Abeel.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January, 27, 2026 at Lakehills Legacy Church, 1580 Cypress Creek Road, Cedar Park, Texas 78613.
