

Arthur Maurice Naman, aged 74, passed away peacefully, with his loving wife by his side, on July 2, 2024 in Austin, Texas. Born in Houston, Texas on October 5, 1949, Arthur was a respected accountant who built a career in both California and Austin, TX. He was an alumnus of Oregon State University (BA), University of Texas at Austin (MPA) and Golden Gate University (MBA).
Arthur was known for his love of fishing, bicycling, cooking, and reading, hobbies that he pursued with passion and joy. He was also passionate about tea, and was an enthusiastic and beloved member of a "Tea Group" for many years. His gentle and thoughtful nature will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Zelia Escobar Naman; brother, John Naman and his wife Rosemary Smith; sister, Elisabeth Naman and her husband David Poppick; nephews Jeremy Naman and his wife Elizabeth Naman, Ben Naman, Daniel Poppick, Andrew Poppick; niece Laura Poppick; great-niece, Nancy Naman; and great-nephew, Henry Naman. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Mary L. Escobar. Arthur was preceded in death by his father Israel Adrian Naman; his mother Jeannette Dannenbaum Naman; and his father-in-law Frank P. Escobar
A service to celebrate Arthur's life will be held at 11am on August 17, 2024 at Weed, Corley, Fish Funeral Homes. 5416 Parkcrest Dr., Austin TX.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Austin Hospice’s Christopher House, or to a charity of the donor's choosing, in memory of Arthur. His legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire those who knew him.
