

He attended Bastrop County and Austin Public Schools. He professed hope and faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. He accepted him as his Lord and Savior at Rehoboth Baptist Church. Arthur joined the Army on June 28, 1967. He served his country until 1969 and went on to serve in the reserves until 1973. While in the Army he obtained the rank of Sergeant and was awarded several medals: National Defense Medal—Vietnam, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Bronze Star, Vietnam Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal.
Arthur was employed at Exxon Oil Company and Circle K. He started working for Travis County in 1985 and remained there until he retired. He loved comic books, fishing, Westerns, wrestling, crossword puzzles, playing Bingo, dominoes, card games and collecting caps.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Louise Wilson; one brother, E.B. Wilson; two sisters: Janie Lee Peterson and Lucinda Wilson; one grandson, Sylvester “Boss Hogg” Kincheon, and nephew; Robert Harris.
Sonny leaves to cherish his memory nine children: Arthur L. Wilson, Jr., Lisa Marie Wilson, Donna L. Wilson-Walker, OnnaWie’ Wilson, Arthur L. Wilson, III (Sheila), DeLois R. Kincheon, Mary E. Kincheon (Eddie Townsend); Sharmaine R. Anthony (Clarence); Sylvester T. Kincheon (Ericka); one brother, James Wilson; three sisters, Grace Thomas, Annie Horton and Betty Bedford; stepmother–in-law, Delores G. Shelton; two brothers-in-law, Ted A. Shelton and John W. Shelton; twelve (12) grandchildren; twenty (20) great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
