Barbara Jean Deckard

Barbara Jean Deckard, born May 7, 1954, of Austin Texas, passed away on March 16, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was loved by many friends and family for her generous heart and bubbly personality. Barbara's greatest joy was time spent with her grandchildren, from cheering at every ball game, to giving each of them love and support; she could be counted on to make each grandchild feel special.

Barbara is survived by her brother Wayne Deckard and wife Renea Deckard, her nieces and nephews. Also, by her son Steven Deckard and wife Marielle, her son Ronny Deckard and wife Amber. Known to them as their 'Nana', she is survived by her grandchildren Andrew, Mason, Luke, Logan, Emery and Olyvia. She will be terribly missed by all.

A lifelong resident of Austin, Barbara dedicated 21 years to Austin Energy working along many coworkers that became friends. She took great pride in her work and was grateful for the relationships.

Please gather with us to celebrate the life of Barbara. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home 3125 North Lamar, Austin.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home 3125 North Lamar, Austin. Burial service will be on Monday, March 21, 2016 immediately following funeral services at Memorial Hill Cemetery, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, TX
