
Mom,
I miss you every single day since you've gone to Heaven.  I don't fear dying because I know I will see you again and never have to say goodbye again.  It wasn't until you were gone did I realize how much you meant to me and how much you loved me.

You've now been gone almost 13 years and I never go a day without thinking of you and wishing you were here with me.

Your mom and I were best friends in high school and although we lost contact after I moved from San Antonio, I never forgot her wonderful humor and friendliness.  Last month she called me to see if I was going to the 50th reunion of our class in June.  It was so great to talk with her after all these years and such a shock to learn of her passing today when I received my Brackenridge newsletter.  The world has lost a beautiful person and I am truly sorry for your loss.  She was so proud of all of you as she briefly filled me in on your family history.  I feel so blessed that I was able to talk with her before she died. May God hold you close as you mourn.



To Barbara's Friends & Family,   I met Barbara when I moved to Austin in the Gables apartments at the end of 2003. Within a few days of moving in, she had met and befriended everyone in the complex. She was full of wonderful stories and had the uncanny ability to make meaningful connections across generations and differences. She was a friendly face who was always willing to spend a few minutes to catch up on others' lives and listen to our problems. She was young beyond her years, and I will surely miss her.



Rod, Jeff, and Kendall,    I just cant express how deeply sorry I am to hear about your beloved mother.  She brought such joy to everyone and set such a wonderful example with her unconditional love for all!    The times we all shared in San Marcos were filled with so much fun and bring back such fond memories...working with all three of you at SMHS; sharing stories, tales, (and escapades!) with your mom; and those wonderful visits with Granny!    I know youll miss your mom so very much.  Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.    With much love to all...



My Dearest Friend, even though I could not be with your precious family today to say goodbye, I am with you in spirit. You will be with me in my heart for all time. Rod,Jeff,and Kendall    We are so sorry to here of your mothers passing.  Marva and I have many fond memories of our times working with your mother and all of you.  Please accept our deepest condolences.  You will be in our prayers.



Rod, Jeff, & Kendall,  It is with great sorrow, learning of your Mother's passing. It has brought back so many memories of our life in  San Antonio. Together our families go back to Our grandmothers,then to your Grandparents (Chug & Herman & my parents)to us growing up , being in each others weddings,with each of our 2 little boys  & (Kendall coming along) ,playing together. Although  Barbara and I have not been in  real contact the last several years, since she left the coast,we  kept up intermittently with everyone growing up. I will miss Barb so much, she was truly a long time, good friend.



Rod, Jeff, Kendall, Tammy & grands,  I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  The Linn's and Wilson's shared so many wonderful times in San Antonio and I am thankful for the special memories of those days.  I'm glad that each of you have wonderful memories of your life with her.  Our prayers are with you.



Dear Kendall, Rod and Jeff:    I will always remember how much I enjoyed visiting with your Mom and you all in your card shop when we were growing up in San Marcos.  She always had a smile and made everyone glad they had stopped in. Then several years later we moved to Austin and I ran into her at the grocery store close to our new home.  As it turned out, she lived across the street from my kids new school which was just a couple of blocks from us.  She would come out unto her front porch with her dog in the morning, sit, drink her coffee, read the newspaper and visit with everyone who walked by.  I would visit with her when I took my kids to school every day.  She was always  happy and had a smile to share with us all.  I haven't seen her in a couple of years and  miss her happy smile that started my day.  I will always cherish my memories of her and my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.



TO BARBARA'S FAMILY       Your mother and I graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1956.  She was a wonderful person and very delightful to be around.  She will be truly missed.     Mildred Tomlinson Franck



To the Keller Family,  I am so saddened to hear of your Mother's passing.   I met your Mom and Chug through my mother, Marcia Griffin.  I have to say that meeting them has been one of the highlights of my life.  They were great women.      Your Mom was such a unique lady and I loved her.  I didn't see her often but always felt when I did that I had just seen her the day before.  She was a great, great, fun lady who loved her family and she will be missed by all who knew her.  I know my mother will miss her a lot.    I also loved Chug and my daughter cherishes the many sweet things she made for her.  I don't wear one pair of my slippers because it is the last one I have from the ones she made me and I want to save them!  Our family will keep you all in our prayers.



To the Keller "kids":  We share your grief--I remember visiting your family in Florida in our Winnebago so many years ago.  Your mom will be missed.  Lisa Day Jones and family, (daughter of Jack and Catherine Day).



Kendall, I am so sorry for your loss.  I think of you and your Mother so many times with fond memories.  My love and prayers to you and your family.



A bright light has gone out here on earth yet a brighter one has ignited in heaven.  She will be missed, our prayers of comfort go out to you.  I smile when I think about Barbara, Granny and Jesus all talking face to face!!



Barbara was a very special person and will be remembered always by her many friends.
