

Her family later moved to Taylor, Texas where she had many wonderful memories. Later, they moved to Austin, Texas where she attended the original Austin High School before going on to attend the University of Houston.
In her youth, Bess was very passionate about tennis and greatly enjoyed playing. She was also a very talented artist who won numerous awards for her art as well as an avid gardener who had an enviable flower garden. In addition to her hobbies, she had a great love for animals including her own dogs that sadly passed before her.
For a short time, Bess lived at the West Oaks Nursing home where she met a very sweet man named Elmer whose friendship and company she enjoyed very much. He made her the happiest person.
Bess was preceded by her mother and father, George A. Hamilton and Carolyn Corley.
She is survived by her daughter Christine Duran, and husband Joe; grandchildren, Carolyn Castro, Melanie Silva and husband Enddy, and Clarissa Duran; sister, Mary Ann Pyle and husband, Stephen Pyle III; great-grandchildren, Christina, Eric, Joe, Anthony, Lilliana, and Enddy; great-great-grandchildren, Laylani, Kameron, Ariya, and Enzo; as well as three nieces, Amy, Kimberly, and Jennifer.
Bess was a very kind and sweet person who loved her family so much. She will be missed greatly by everyone who had the good fortune to know and love her.
