Bettiann Barbara Emerson

Bettiann Barbara Emerson was born April 2, 1917 in Muncie (IN) to Walter and Cora Reeves; she died peacefully on November 12. An Austin realtor for 21 years, she delighted in finding just the right home for her clients, many of whom became longtime friends. Betti’s favorite activities in retirement included volunteering, dancing, and bridge. She was a sharp lady both in dress and in acuity. Her friends admired her spunk and enjoyed her quick wit. Preceded in death by her husband as well as by her only child – Donald Edward Emerson, Sr., and Donald Edward Emerson, Jr. – Betti leaves behind three grandchildren: Donald Charles Emerson (Austin), Alice Elizabeth Emerson (Austin), and Anna Caroline Emerson (Rockaway Park, NY). In addition, Betti enjoyed knowing her two great-granddaughters, Terra Elizabeth and Margaret Joan Emerson, the children of Don and his wife Carolyn. The family appreciates the care and kindness Betti received from the staffs of Parsons House, Barton Hills Assisted Living, and Odyssey HealthCare.
