Betty was born in Beaumont Texas, raised in Houston, Texas where she graduated from Lamar High School, then worked for Gulf Oil before marrying her husband Jack. Betty and Jack loved archery and were both competitive tournament archers in the 1950’s. She also enjoyed boating and water skiing for many years with her husband and son. For the past thirty six years Betty and Jack lived on their peaceful hill on Brushy Creek outside Round Rock.
However Betty will be most remembered by all who knew her for her faith and love of God, her love and devotion to her family, and for being the second “Mom” to so many.
Betty was preceded in death by her mother (Ethel Kisling) and grandson (Jake Costa). She is survived by husband (Jack Costa), son and daughter in law (Scott and Jan Costa), brother and sister in law (Walter and Dot Shepherd), and several family members and friends.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be scheduled for a later date. We all love you mom.
