

Blanche was born on the fifteenth of December 1924, in Bennington, Oklahoma to Walter and Florence Garrett. At a young age, she was adopted by David and Bessie Sherman and she lived in the Austin area most of her life.
On the twenty-eighth of August 1942, she married her sweetheart, Ray Stone, and they loved each other for sixty-five wonderful years before he passed away in 2008. Blanche was a charter member of Crestview Baptist Church and she served as the church hostess for more fifteen years. Her favorite past-times included traveling, cooking, and painting.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Ray C. Stone and her son-in-law, Charles Cade. Survivors include: daughters, Judy Cade and Connie Kinnard and husband, J.R.; son, Gary Stone and wife, Vickie; son, Brian Stone; grandchildren, Jonathan Kinnard, April Heath and husband, David, Mary Kinnard, Jacob Stone and Justin Stone and one great-grand child, Zoey Heath.
A Visitation will be held on the second of December 2011 from six to eight o’clock in the evening at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, TX. Funeral Services will also be held at this Cook-Walden location on the third of December 2011 at ten o’clock in the morning in the Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, TX.
