Bobbie Jeniece Giles went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon, September 20, 2006. Born October 25, 1952 in Lubbock, Texas, she is the daughter of Leo and Bertie Mae Robertson, and the beloved wife of Bobby Giles. Jeniece began her career as a high school teacher in Ft. Worth and Houston after graduating from Texas Tech University. She was gifted with an amazing eye for fashion design and soon became a highly sought-after wardrobe consultant. Jenieces career flourished as her creativity and flair for personal style became widely known and highly respected. She was invited to speak at many seminars nationwide, including one at the prestigious Waldorf Hotel in New York. Her mission was to offer hope, provide inspiration and share insights to develop each persons unique style. Her favorite style motto was Remember to keep chipping away at all that is not you. Jenieces life was a beautiful example of Christ in you. She placed her complete and utter faith in Jesus and loved Him with all her heart. She loved the natural beauty that He placed in the world and spent many hours delighting in it. She was a spirit-filled woman with sparkling eyes and a joyful spirit. Those who knew her feel blessed by her friendship. The children who loved her called her Nee-cee; her clients called her amazing; and, her friends called her inspiring, uplifting, devoted and loving. She was charismatic, graceful, and grace-filled, in every sense of the word. She loved to de-clutter the lives of people she met and then reclaim them as treasured friends. Jeniece is the author of Style Courage and the author of four volumes of poetry and short stories on life and faith in Christ called Overflow. Jeniece expressed her devotion to her family and her faith through her service as a Sunday School Teacher for college age students and as Prayer Chairmen of Teen Community Bible Study. Jeniece has been an active member of Bible Study Fellowship and Community Bible Study for many years. She was a member of The Junior League of Austin and served as docent at the Governors Mansion. Even with all these talents and specialties, the most important parts of Jenieces life were her deep faith in Christ and her love for her precious husband. She and Bobby would have celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on September 23, 2006. He was her most wonderful and faithful caregiver. Heaven is a brighter place with Jenieces dazzling smile and infectious laughter. She will be deeply missed and dearly remembered by all who knew her.
