

Bobby Dee Woosley of Lago Vista, Texas passed away on January 29th, 2009 at the age of 75. He was born January 16, 1934 in Port Arthur, Texas. He was the son of Lawson Dee and Agatha Franklin Woosley. Never known to be idle, Bob made many friends and accomplished much during his 75 years. He was a Past Master Mason of the Lake Jackson Chapter of the Masonic Lodge #1317. He was also a member of the Austin Ben Hur Shriners and a long term member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. In July of 1997, he retired from Dow Chemical where he served as an Engineer for 41 years. His many assignments in PE included production to project management to tech support. He managed projects for LDPE, Dowlex and Insite. His employment with Dow took he and his family all over the world including long term stays in Spain, the Netherlands and Yugoslavia. Bob graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and went to work immediately for Dow in Freeport Texas in 1956. He married his wife Janice on June 2, 1956. They recently celebrated their 52 year anniversary. He is survived by his wife Janice Davies Woosley, his children Steven Woosley and wife Linda, Sandra Woosley Bronson and husband Steve, Scott Woosley and twin grandchildsons James and Jonathan Bronson. After his retirement in 1997, Bob and Janice moved to Lago Vista, Texas where they became involved in St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Bob served as Junior Warden and Treasurer for St Peter's. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 7th at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with the Reverand Dale Chrisman officiating. Obituary and Guestbook online at wcfish.com.
