Brittany Jordan Gaona

On August 20, 2017, our precious Brittany was called to her heavenly home. She was born in Austin, Texas on November 7, 1992 to proud parents Roslyn Caballero Gaona and Fidel Daniel Gaona. Brittany was a joy to all her family, she was a sweet, compassionate, loving child. She loved to share whatever she had. She loved her family and always kept in touch with family members, especially her cousins. Whenever there were family problems, she always said "don't judge, forgive each other, love one another, be united".

Last year she went back to get her high school diploma. She graduated in May, 2017 from Premier School. She enrolled in College of Health Care Professionals to become a medical assistant. She said in an essay she wrote at college that she had wanted to have a career in the medical field because she loved to work with people and help them. Brittany was a beautiful soul deeply committed to Jesus Christ, as evidenced by her well-worn bible, which she always carried with her.

Brittany was preceded in death by her mother Roslyn Caballero, grandfathers Albert Caballero Sr., and Fidel Gaona.

She is survived by her father, Fidel Daniel Gaona, her grandparents Irene Moya(Lolly) and Guadalupe Ramos(Poppie) and Grandmother Bertha Gaona, uncles Abert Caballero, Eric Ramos, David Gaona, Richard Gaona, aunts, Cindy Silva and Diana Mullins, her great aunt and Godmother, Christine Moya Gaona, a number of cousins and friends.

Brittany, we love you immensely and we will greatly miss you, but we believe in the promise of Jesus that we will be together again. Also, we believe that you will be Guardian Angel in chief for your Lolly and your Poppie and all your family.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 4:00-6:30 PM, on Thursday, the 31of August 2017, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM that evening.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Friday, the 1st of September 2017, at St Louis Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Road, Austin, Texas 78757.
