

A memorial service with full military honors will take place at Cook/Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home January 9th at 1:00PM.
Bruce was born August 23, 1943, in Buffalo, New York to his now deceased parents Harry H. and Lucille (Johnson) Goldsmith. He joined the Air Force after graduation from Lockport High School in 1962. He became an Air Traffic Controller and served his country for almost 21 years, including a tour of duty in Viet-Nam. He married his high school sweetheart, Janet Hale, in 1963, and they were happily married for 52 years. They retired in Austin, Texas where their present home is to this date.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Janet Kathryn (Hale) Goldsmith. One daughter, Tammy Rose (Goldsmith) Musgrave and her children, Kathryn and Meagan, also one great granddaughter, Rebecca. One son, Brian William Goldsmith and his wife, Suzanne Cordell, plus their children Peyton and Mitchell.. One brother, Raymond William Goldsmith and his wife ,Judith Richmond. Two brother-in-laws who considered him as a brother, William Everett and Jerry David Hale. There are also several nieces and nephews.
Bruce was a wonderful man with a unique sense of humor. He loved his family, dachshunds, tinkering in his workshop, and especially enjoying his scotch and water. Almost everyone he met loved him and he will be sadly missed by all, but will be forever in our hearts and with us in spirit. Instead of good-bye, it is see you later alligator, after a while crocodile, and see you soon raccoon for in time we will all be together.
