

Carlos J. Brown was born on January 16, 1979 to Rosalyn F. Lyles and Perry Brown. Born a twin son, Carlos will forever be remembered for his keen smile and big heart. A native Austinite, he attended Austin Independent School District and graduated from Lyndon Baines Johnson High School; home of the Jaguars in 1997. Carlos was christen at the Metroplitation Church in Chicago, Illinois as a child. In life he enjoyed many things: Sports, shoes, eating and spending quality time with his family & friends. Carlos was faithful to his job and enjoyed assisting his clients as a home health aide. Carlos and his twin brother were inseparable, if you saw Carlos there was Carmine.
On September 11, 2010, Carlos married Shonese Scott and to this union God blessed them with 1 precious life, Noni Symone Brown. Together they shared 6 years of marriage and the memories will forever live on.
Carlos passed on Thursday, February 16, 2017 and joined his twin brother Carmine R. Brown. His Maternal and Paternal Grandparents, Father-In-Law: Larry Scott, Brother-in-law: Corey Scott, one cousin: Jon Broaders, one Uncle: Donald Lyles & Aunt: Teresa Rogers.
His memories will forever be treasured by his wife: Shonese Brown, Daughter: Noni Symone Brown, Mother & Step-Father: Rosayln Lyles & James Davenport, Father & Step-Mother: Perry & Deborah Brown, Mother-In-Law: Nanetta Scott, Two brothers: Chris Onwukaife (Jennifer) & Terrell Lowe (Meka). Six Sisters: Shamika Davenport-Gibson, Keshia Barlow, Ebonie Brown, La'Tisha Walker, A'Tira Banks and Quiana Brown. One Sister-In-Law, Schonda Scott. Two Uncles: James Lyles and Larry Lyles (Carlyon). Six Aunts: Beverly Ann Broaders, Ernestine Jeans, Joyce Harris (Greg), Alice Davenport, Lisa Eichelberger, Sherry Thompson (Dewayne), and Temetrice Rhea'Haynes. His nieces: Carezma Brown, Alriyon Lewis, Courtney Scott. Great-niece: Kaliyah Scott. His nephews: Norman Derks, Cedric Scott, Tarlyn Scott, Elijah Onwukaife, Deshaun Taylor, and Corey Scott. He leaves a legacy that will be cherished by many cousins and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, the 24th of February at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd. Austin TX 78752.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am on Saturday, the 25th of February 2017, at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, 4509 Springdale Road, Austin, TX 78723. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Austin, TX.
