Carol was a friend of mine. We met at work over twenty years ago. She was an immense help to me back then, as she listened to me and offered straightforward advice. She continued to do so through the years.

She was very unique, with a fast-paced wit and an unapologetic truthfulness. I admired that quality in her. Whenever I found myself in an awkward moment, I often thought, "What would Carol say?"

She had a passionate persona like no other and will be truly missed.

God Bless.

Carol was a friend that I had the pleasure of working with for many years. She was extremely smart but even more so, very funny. She could come up with a brilliant idea on how to solve a work problem and then make it hilarious at the same time. There was never a dull moment with Carol around. Prayers and love to her family.

I met Carol through work. I didn’t work in Austin, my relationship began through instructing I was on quite a few of her teams. She was a great mentor, friend, and someone to look up to. A strong role model to follow. I appreciate her in all aspects. She’ll be missed. My prayers are with all affected. May she rest in forever calm & peace.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Carol. I worked with Carol for several years in PRP/TAS at the district office in Austin. $he had a wide background of knowledge and was always willing to share her expertise and help others in our group. I know she will be greatly missed by her current and former co-workers and friends.

I remember a face-to-face meeting with the entire team in Austin. We had invited the Deputy National Taxpayer Advocate to address the group. During her address, she singled out Carol and personally thanked her for the recent support she had provided her. Her compliments were extremely sincere. Carol, who everyone knew as a no-nonsense, tough cookie, started tearing up. Shew as overwhelmed by the impromptu appreciation in front of everyone. Lightening the mood, I said, "Wow, Carol, I am surprised! I've never seen you like this." She responded in her Texas-drawl, "Well, I am (emphasizing the "am") tough on the outside. But, I am a marshmallow on the inside." That's one of the things that made Carol the special person that she was.

Carol was one of the first people I worked with when I came to this unit. Her wealth of knowledge was matched only by her willingness to share that knowledge. If if was something she did not know know immediately, she took the time to find out. And that dry sense of humor always lit up a room. I will miss her, and am praying for her family in this time of grief. I am so very sorry for your loss.
