Charles Edward Abercrombie

Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy came from time spent with those he loved. He was a proud Airforce Veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War. He had a passion for finding overlooked treasures, always on the hunt for “junk” he could refurbish and give new life to. He was a self-taught, amazing artist with notable paintings. He was a loyal fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys, rarely missing a game, and he cherished every opportunity to visit, laugh, and share stories with family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Abercrombie; his children Charles Abercrombie and wife Simoné, Abbie Willwerth and husband Eric, and Debra Abercrombie and husband Robert; and his stepchildren Charmia Medearis, Christopher Medearis, Charles Medearis and wife Viviana, and Felicia Medearis. Charles also leaves behind his grandchildren: Tiffany Jackson and husband DeMarris, Branden Abercrombie and fiancée Brook, Quinten Willwerth and wife Kim, Camren Willwerth, Anthony Abercrombie and wife Sally, Lucy Whitmore, Justin Whitmore, Doryan Hopes, Carlo Medearis, Vivica Medearis, and Dillon Medearis. He was a proud great-grandfather to Bailey Jackson, Nalani Jackson, Della Abercrombie, and Logan Whitmore. He is also survived by his sister Ann Kyle and brother David Abercrombie as well as nieces and nephews.

Charles will be remembered for his resourcefulness, his love of sports, and above all, his dedication to family. His presence, laughter, and stories will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the many lives he touched.
