Charles Hayden Bowers

Charles Hayden Bowers, beloved son and brother passed away suddenly on April 2, 2011. Hayden was born on August 31, 1989 in Austin and grew up attending Casis Elementary, O. Henry Middle School, and Austin High School. He was currently a junior at Texas Christian University and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Hayden loved sports, especially playing football for the Fighting Maroons. He was the light of his family’s life and loved by everyone who ever met him. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Hayden will be missed by his parents, Steve and Corrinne Bowers, and his sisters, Sara Kell and Beth. He is survived by grandparents Patsy Bowers, and Frank and Paula Cahoon. His aunts and uncles, Charlie and Sandy Self, Kell and Debbie Cahoon, and Joseph and Christie Cahoon and many precious cousins. Preceding him in death was grandfather, Jim Bowers. Hayden’s honorary pallbearers are his many dear friends and fraternity brothers.

A memorial will be held in Hayden’s honor on Tuesday, April 5th at 11am at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3208 Exposition, Austin, 78703.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to The Helping Hand Home For Children, 3804 Avenue B, Austin, Texas 78751, Westminster Presbyterian Church, or to a charity of your choice.
