Charles Andrew Davis, a Software Technical Consultant for HP, Inc. and resident of Austin, Texas, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the age of 55 at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital in Boise, Idaho.
Charles is survived by his wife, Dawn Davis; his son, Johnathan Davis and wife, Jenna, his daughter Laura Marquardt and husband, Justin, daughter Ariel Davis, and daughter Shelby Azevedo; his grandchildren, Parker Azevedo, Lyla Azevedo, Austin Davis, and Jaxon Davis; his mother, Virginia Davis, sisters Tammy Paschal and Debbie Nolte, along with several nieces and nephews.
Charles was born in Clovis, New Mexico on September 29, 1968, to Andrew and Virginia Davis. On August 12, 1988, he married Dawn, his high school sweetheart. Shortly after, they welcomed their son and three daughters, who were the most important part of his life.
Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Charles enjoyed traveling, both for business and with his family. His playful nature and joking around helped many people cope when life got too serious. He didn’t like the spotlight on himself. Above all, his relationship with Christ came first. He was the spiritual leader of the family, shared his Godly wisdom to all that would listen, and always helped anyone who was in need. Charles would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Even his last wish was to help others with his gift of organ donation. He was friendly, kind, compassionate, and a voice of reason in difficult times. He was loved by so many. He was a great man, with an even bigger heart. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Charles will be remembered during a memorial service scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, Texas 78750.
