Chris Worley

Christine Ann (Mazzoleni Akers) Worley died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Christine was born in Taunton, Massachusetts on January 6, 1947 to Ethel and Stephen Mazzoleni. She grew up there and graduated from Coyle Cassidy High School in 1965.

She moved to Austin in 1977 and lived there until her death. Chris will be most remembered for the humor, laughter and quick wit she brought to so many people. She never met a stranger and many knew her as “mom”. She was a treasured and loyal friend. Her family carries on with the strength and love she gave them.

Chris is preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, Tom Cunniff, and niece, Ann Cunniff. She is survived by her husband, Freno Worley, daughters, Laura Blizel (Bryan) and Lynn Sparks, her grandchildren, Luke Sparks, Zach Blizel, and Cody Sparks, her sisters Jacqueline Mazzoleni Cunniff, Theresa Mazzoleni, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Christine will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750, followed by a graveside service Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Risen Christ II Section.
