

Christine Aparicio of Austin, TX passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15. She was 91 years old. Christine was born November 15, 1921 at the family home in Manchaca, TX. She was the second of four children born to Espiridion and Emilia Guerrero. She married Victor Buratti on August 5, 1941. From this union, they had three children. After having served in World War II, Victor was involved in a tragic workplace accident and passed away on April 7, 1948. On January 3, 1953, she married Henry Aparicio, also a World War II veteran. Christine and Henry had one child and were married for 60 years.
Christine's family was the passion and delight of her life. She lit up whenever any of her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren were around her. She had a loving and caring heart and was always giving to others. She was the respected matriarch of the family and will be truly missed by all. Christine was wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to many.
She is survived by her four children: Edward Buratti (Carolyn), Elizabeth Johnson (Victor); Virginia Lisnow (Harmon); and Laura Fitzpatrick (Steve); four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Barron, and many extended family members.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, S. Congress. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, S. Congress. Serving as pallbearers are: David Buratti, Ian Lisnow, Tony Schneider, Amir Ledan, J.P. Cantu and Stephan Cantu. Honorary pallbearers: Tony Castillo, Jerry Castillo. Interment to follow memorial service at Capital Memorial Park Cemetery.
