Cicely Dawn Bomar was born on December 3, 1972 in Huntsville, Alabama to Curtis and Faye Demby Bomar. She ended this earthly life on July 25, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. holding the hands of her beloved parents.

At the age of three months, Cicely was christened in the Catholic faith at St. Francis of Assisi in Bessemer, AL. Although she was raised in the Protestant faith, she returned to her Catholic roots and united with Sacred Heart of Jesus Basilica of Atlanta, GA.

Cicely graduated from Westwood High School (Round Rock, TX) in 1990 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dartmounth College (Hanover, NH) in 1995. Cicely continued her education and received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake (Houston, TX) in December 1998.

Upon graduating from the university, Cicely worked for Texas Medical Foundation, Motorola, Inc, and the U.S. Department of Treasury/IRS Division of Wage & Investment Research as a social scientist (Atlanta, GA).

Cicely’s contribution to several civic organizations, community and charitable agencies include serving as an assistant advisor to Top Teens of America (TTA), Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD), and several years of volunteering at Next-To-New Shop of St. David's Episcopal Church.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, parents, Curtis and Faye Bomar, two brothers: Curtis Lamar (Valerie), of Austin, TX; and Courtney Darral, of Nashville, TN. Other relatives include an uncle, Lorenzo W. Demby (Allene) of Bessemer, AL; aunts: Betty J. Bomar, Mary Alice Bomar, Doris Peake (Kenneth) all of Lyman, South Carolina, and Helen Dillard (Lillywood) of Columbia, South Carolina. Relatives, friends, and co-workers complete the list of those cherishing her memory.
