

Colleen Molony Bagley Colleen Molony Bagley, 76, of Austin, Texas died April 26, 2005 quietly at home after a brief illness. Formerly a resident of Picayune, MS, New Orleans, LA, and Houston, TX, Mrs. Bagley lived the last 8 years in Austin. Born in New Orleans on December 2, 1928, she attended Ursuline Academy. In 1947 she married John B. Church and soon moved to Houston, Texas where she lived for 34 years and raised 3 daughters before returning to New Orleans in 1983 to marry Edward S. Bagley. While in Houston she volunteered at the Charity Guild and Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart. Colleen and Ed retired to Picayune, MS, where gardening became a passion for both of them. Her antique roses were the subject of countless paintings. Colleen moved to Austin in 1997. She became an avid needle pointer and helped her daughter in her store where she developed many friendships. A natural artist, Colleen had a gift for creating beauty in every corner of her life. She also had a passion for cooking, creating a wonderful legacy of cookbooks for her family. Mrs. Bagley is preceded in death by her husband, Edward S. Bagley, daughter, Phyllis Ann Church, and parents Ethel and Leo Molony. She is survived by daughters Kathleen Ellen Church of New York, New York and Colleen Bridget Church of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Adams of New Orleans, LA, her nephew, Orr Adams and nieces, Tricia Shapiro and Dawn Wheelahan also of New Orleans. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 28th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home with a Rosary Service to begin at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2005 at St. Theresas Catholic Church, 4311 Small Drive in Austin.
