CV served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force and then worked for and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
CV is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ernestine; his son Al Garcia (Erma); daughter Norma Lane (Monte); daughter Victoria Enos, and two beloved granddaughters, Lauren Garcia and Emily Lane. He is also survived by a brother, Delfino Garcia and a sister, Blanca Medina.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nursing staff at Seton Hospital and the Christopher House for their loving care.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from seven o’clock until nine o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 6th of November 2012, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas.
