She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Fred Castillo Sr.

Connie is survived by her children: Fred Castillo Jr. and wife Cynthia, Steve Castillo and wife Bridgett, Debbie Velasquez and partner Diana Bueno, Elizabeth Castillo and husband Armando Flores, Daniel Castillo and wife Velma. She was also survived by 2 sisters and 5 brothers and 22 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren who loved her dearly.

The family wants to give thanks to Chad and Lydia at Hospice A-Med for their love and support they gave Connie as she battle brain cancer.

Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from two o’clock until five o’clock in the afternoon, on Sunday, the 6th of July 2014, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 3:30pm.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at one o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 7th of July 2014, at Saint Louis King of France Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
