Connie Lynn Wilson Mickelson

Connie began her journey as the youngest daughter of Vernon and Mary Jane Wilson on July 25, 1947. She married Russell Mickelson and became Mom to three daughters, Sherry Marie, Rebecca, and Penny.

Connie will be remembered for putting others needs above her own even with the physical disabilities she suffered from for the past 17 years of her life. All who knew her knew if they needed anything at all she was just a phone call away.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of almost 40 years.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Sherry and husband, Don; daughter, Rebecca and husband, Dan; and daughter, Penny and her husband, Rene. Six grandchildren, Anna, Joey, Joshua, Cierra, Leah and Luke and seven great grandchildren, Leila, Haylee and Drew (Anna), Abby, Tyler and Dany (Cierra) and Jonathon (Luke). Connie was a lover of animals and leaves behind Pugs Shuggy and Jack.

We would like to thank Dr. Shetty, Nurses Lamar and MJ and all who cared for Mom this past week at Seton Hays ICU.

We also want to thank Dr. Boone Goodgame, Nurse Kalynn and the rest of his awesome staff for their care and compassion in taking care of Mom after her diagnosis last year of Stage IV Lung Cancer. We couldn’t have gone through this without them.
