

Connie L. Wild, 53, of Lakeway, Texas died on August 28, 2006, in Hospice Austins Christopher House after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Connie is survived by two daughters, Tristan (Bradley) Wild-Burrows of Horn Lake, Mississippi and Stephanie Wild of Austin, Texas; one sister, Joan (Edward) Schaffer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two brothers, Jim (Cheryle) Kinsman of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Larry (Traci) Kinsman of Kuna, Idaho; father-in-law, Col. Charles B. Wild, Jr. (Ret.) of San Antonio, Texas; brother-in-law, Col. Michael (Jane) Wild (Ret.) of Niceville, Florida; sister-in-law, Cheryl (John) Alexander of Salt Lake City, Utah; and thirteen nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Joyce Kinsman, her husband, Dr. Charles B. Wild III, and her mother-in-law, Joyce Wild. Connie was born April 22, 1953, in Jefferson, Iowa to Eldon and Joyce (Rhoades) Kinsman. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1971 and Iowa State University in 1975 with a degree in Leisure Services. While in Ft. Dodge, Iowa she worked as an evaluator instructor for the Iowa Rehabilitations Industries. She married Charles B. Wild III on April 19, 1980. They moved to Texas where Connie later worked as a teacher and assistant preschool director for the Lakeway Church Christian Pre-school from 1989 to 2006. She was also a member of The Lakeway Church. Miss Connie was greatly loved and appreciated by all her church and preschool family and friends. The family thanks Dr. Loukas and the Southwest Regional Cancer Center staff, Hospice Austins Christopher House and The Lakeway Church for their kind and compassionate care of Connie and her family. A Connie Wild Memorial Fund has been established for her children. Funds for this memorial should be made out to The Connie Wild Memorial Fund and mailed to Lakeway Church, 2203 Lakeway Blvd., Lakeway, Tx 78734. Memorial contributions may also be made to American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 149100, Austin, Tx 78714. Graveside service will be held at 2:15 pm , Friday, September 8, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. Memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm, Saturday, September 9, at Lakeway Church, 2203 Lakeway Blvd, Austin, Tx 78734.
