What a precious girl. She was such a light in my class.  I will forever treasure my memories of Courtney.


I will always remember Courtney as the first friend who showed me how exciting the world can be. And if there was any kid who was exciting, we all knew it was Courtney. She was spontaneous, and daring, and outgoing in the best ways possible. She made people feel accepted and welcomed. I will never have a doubt in my mind that she impacted my life so positively as my childhood best friend. And getting to know her a little in adulthood, I admire how her heart only grew bigger.

I used to work with H‑E‑B with her and plus went high school to. She was very sweet and had lovely personality. 

So many memories and pictures I’ve been through these past two weeks, it was hard to choose just one. You were the best friend I’ve ever had. 💛

Courtney was one of the best people that I ever knew. I first met her as a kid watching our brother's baseball games and re-united with her in high school working at the Dripping Springs HEB and we were fast friends after that. Fast forward 5 years later, I asked her to be a bridesmaid at my wedding. She was the most selfless person that I ever met and I am happy that she got to be a part of that day. She will forever be in my heart and I will miss her smile. Best wishes to all who knew this wonderful person.

Courtney was one of the very first people to talk to me when I moved to Dripping Springs in 8th grade. I was really nervous being in a new environment and I’ll never forget her being so friendly and welcoming. She was such a warm hearted, positive, and joyful person who will be deeply missed. Rest In Peace Courtney. 

I didn’t know Courtney well, but everytime I was around her she always had a positive energy about her and was always helping others, she brought light into to this world, she will be missed.

Sending prayers to her family and friends, may God rest her soul.

Courtney was and is still a vision of determination and strength. Through the countless adventures and mayhem we got into, she only carried her self with courage. She found a way to make us all believe we were invincible with how brave she was. Through her way to make light of situations and ability to spread joy, I will endlessly be thankful for ever single memory that brought us to tears because we were laughing so hard, every time we thought of a new idea that never turned out the way we expected it to, and every happy and hilarious experience we shared.  Courtney will forever hold a dear place in my heart, she will always be my constant reminder of love, joy and selflessness. 

My sincere condolences to all the family, Courtney was a beautiful person 💜. I have only been at HEB 2yrs,everytime I would see her she had a smile,hello or a wave .my prayers for the family.

I know I already wrote a memory of her but I feel it was more of how I met her then of what I truly loved about her. Courtney was adventurous yet cautious, loving, kind, graceful and so many more things. From reading so many of the other memories of her, I can truly say she was a unique soul. her relationships with others were never one in the same. In our friendship I loved that Courtney was a person I could make jokes with, she knew me and knew when I was serious and when I was joking, she made sure to catch on to little things that I loved or hated. If we were both having a good day it was all laughs and jokes, if it was a bad day for one of us, the other would make jokes to lighten our mood, or buy our favorite snack. I loved that Courtney truly truly took the time to get to know someone. She knew my favorite drink, snack and that if I was trying something new like working out she made sure acknowledge it. Even though I met her through our job, she meant more to me than just any other coworker. And that’s something special, I could count on Courtney to not tell my secret, to have my back when needed and to guide in the right direction when needed. I could count on her to wake me up if I was running late somewhere (I would text her to wake me up if I didn’t text her by a certain time😂), I could count on her to be the tiny person to help me out if I ever was drowning (because I don’t know how to swim but she always convinced me she’d save me just to go to the river). Anytime I was annoyed she would call me out and tell me the positive things going on around me to get me out of my funk. She truly was a gift to be around. This picture below shows the start of her 21st, she had so much fun! Courtney was the person to be around, with her contagious smile, her sarcasm, and her laugh 💜💕

I remember all of the amazing memories of laughing and crying with Courtney throughout middle school and high school.  Courtney had such a way of making everyone feel so special and loved. She always was a person I could confide in for any reason free of judgement and always loved her friends  selflessly. I knew I could trust her with anything. She was there for me in times when I felt like I had no one on my side. She was one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met and one of the best friends I’ve ever had.

 Courtney we all miss you so so much. You are so loved ❤️ I’m praying for you and your family now and always. I’ll see you again some day sweet angel.

Courney was such a caring, giving, sweet person. I worked with her at HEB in Bastrop. She was a joy to be around.  Always willing to help and with a smile on her beautiful face. She will truly be missed by many and may she find peace. My heart goes out to her family and friends. From my family to yours im sending love, healing light, and my heart. She will never be forgotten. 

I have so many sweet memories of Courtney. Cody and my son, Shawn,  played baseball together and my daughter, Sierra and Courtney were baseball “little sister” besties. They spent many a practice and tournament cheering on their brothers, keeping each other company, playing volleyball, being silly and munching a whole bunch of concession snacks. They kept up with each other into adulthood. Courtney truly had the light of God in her. She was the sweetest, most precious girl. I’m blessed to have known her and will treasure my many precious memories of her. 

When I first met Courtney,  she was a young burst of energy,  that never had a negative thing to say about anyone or anything,  and she had the highest hopes of moving up with HEB.  She would text me in the middle of the night, throughout her career,  asking me how to have difficult work conversations, how she should approach people and then let me know how those events turned out.  Even after I was no longer with the company,  she would reach out to ask me how to handle situations she hadn't encountered yet. 

 I remember her being so nervous about her interviews, that we spent forever going through questions and answers to make sure she had it just right.  She was always so capable and able to handle so much of what the world decided to throw her way.  

For years,  we talked everyday,  and up until the end of her time with us all,   we shared pictures of our dogs and cats and lives daily, with talks of life,  love and travel.  I am heart broken that I have lost such a close friend and confidant, and my heart goes out to everyone she left behind. My thoughts and prayers will forever be with her family and friends.  

One of my most treasured and favorite memories. Courtney and I, Cody, his friend, and her dad having a cherry pie fight after dinner. I remember Courtney and I waking up the next morning with sharpie drawings and toothpaste all over our faces (thanks Cody!), with just about every household appliance stacked on top of us while sleeping. 

So many memories. Throughout my early childhood, I looked at Courtney like a big sister; I wanted to be just like her! Her big spirit and spunky, kind personality has taught me so many things, and left behind a hole in my heart. I can’t wait to see her again one day.

Courtney was a passionate and hard working, loving, committed, intelligent partner that I had the privilege and opportunity to work with for a short time of about 8 months.  During this time she demonstrated these attributes and more everyday.
The first memory I have of Courtney was from the first day we worked together unloading an HEB grocery delivery.  The cases that were on top of the pallet were in disarray and would have fallen upon unloading the pallet.  Without me mentioning anything she noticed the same opportunity and immediately climbed on the power jack and the pallet of groceries to organize the boxes.  We then pulled the pallet out of the truck without any damaged product.  At that moment I knew Courtney was going to be GREAT FOR BASTROP H-E-B.  

Out thoughts and prayers go out to Courtney and her family.  May God Almighty give you the strength and courage to face Courtney’s passing.

Courtney had a very unique relationship with everyone she crossed paths with. The relationship I shared with her was one were we joked around all the time, everytime our work schedule came out we would rush to look to see the dates we worked together because we knew it would be a good day at work, one that if we knew we were having a bad day one of us would stop for coffee for each other, one that we would wait for each other after work to buy groceries and were we would invite each other for wine/drinking nights. I met her when we both became Leads at the buda store, and we clicked since that moment. I was in school and she wasn’t, yet she always checked up on how I was doing in school and made sure to motivate me. We were inseparable when we worked together, we would ask for tasks that would include both of us, and if it didn’t we would find a find a way to scoot our way. She was an amazing leader, caring for anyone that crossed her path. Anytime I asked her about school she told me she didn’t need a degree for what she wanted to do (Climb the ladder with HEB), when that happened and she became an MIC i reminded her that she was right and that I was so proud of her for achieving her goal in such a short time. She was such a free spirit who voiced her opinion anytime she could, made sure to call me out if I needed to be called out on something, she always had a smile and a red bull with her 💜 I will miss her and our random catch up conversations 💜

Courtney and I took a trip to visit Tom and Courtney’s grandparents. This trip was filled with fun, love, and adventures just like every moment with her.

You were such a blessing to world for a short moment, and the memories you gave will be with us forever! Farewell our little friend and God Bless you.
