

Cindy is survived by her husband and constant companion, Ewell H. Jackson III.
A native of Crockett Texas, Cindy was born in Marlin on September 13, 1935 to Estelle (Gafford) and John Gaida. She earned her bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Sam Houston State University. She made her home in Baytown prior to settling in Spicewood.
Also surviving her is her son James W.L. (Brook) Brookshire and his wife Julie, daughters Christina A. (Crissy) Brookshire and Lori B. Garrison and her husband John, step-sons Ewell H. (Jack) Jackson IV and his wife Leslie and James C. (Jimmy) Jackson and his wife Rachel, and the delights of her life, her grandchildren, James (Will) Brookshire, Connor Garrison, Caroline Garrison, Katherine (Kate) Jackson, Thomas Jackson and Jackson Bonnett.
Cindy lived fully as a lifelong learner and contributor, whether it be professionally, through her culinary interests, in her travels, or through participation in many social, sports, and charitable organizations. Her uniquely happy, loving, adventuresome spirit will survive in all that knew her.
A Celebration of Cindy's Life is planned with Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home in Lakeway Texas on Saturday, November 16th, at 11a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
