

Daniel S. Guerra, age 90, of Austin Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. He was born January 12, 1934, in Austin, Texas to the late Mr. Manual Guerra and the late Mrs. Isabel Sifuentes, late brothers; Crecencio Guerra, Moses Guerra, late sisters; Martha Guerra, Consuelo Guerra and Julia Guerra
Daniel was a loving husband of 68 years, father, gramps, great gramps, and friend. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of many who knew him. With a career spanning over 30 years in the food industry working for Bruce’s Pie Company then thereafter working for Austin Community College for over 15 years. Beyond his working life, Daniel had an enjoyment for living life to the fullest. He found immense joy in spending time outdoors. One of Daniel’s greatest joys in life was being with his beloved family. Their laughter filled his heart with warmth and happiness. Outside of work and family life, Daniel had a diehard love and loyalty for Football and especially his loyalty and love for The Dallas Cowboys. He derived great pleasure from driving his Kia Amanti everywhere all over Austin on a weekly basis, most especially to Costco. Daniel also loved spending time outside in his yard tending to his rose garden and yard with his wife Mary with care and precision. Daniel also had a favorite in watching classic movies, like Bonanza and Gunsmoke and what better accompaniment to movie nights than doing this with his wife Mary. Daniel S. Guerra leaves behind a legacy of hard work, integrity, and love. He will be remembered for his appreciation of life's simple pleasures and his unwavering devotion to his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Guerra, son, Benjamin Guerra.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Mary Marrero Guerra; Son, Gerald Guerra and wife Wendy Guerra; son, James Guerra and Robert Eakin; grandchildren, Brian Guerra, Kristie Guerra, Krystal Guerra, Stacy Guerra, Tiffany Guerra, Mia Guerra, Caitlin Reyes and Sergio Reyes; great grandchildren, Tre Guerra, Xian Guerra, Livia Guerra, Jax Guerra, Matthew Guerra, Samantha Guerra, Midajah Alvarado, Mikaylah Alvarado, Diamond Luna, Jordon Kemp, Maricela Martinez; great, great grandchild, London Casares.
The family will receive friends at Weed-Corley Fish Funeral home on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Pastor Josue Sanchez will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends Wednesday 9:30 AM January 24, 2024 at Weed-Corley-Fish and go in procession to Assumption Cemetery for a 10:00 AM internment.
