

Daniel D. Silianoff, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, left this world to be one with God on December 15, 2005, in Lakeway, Texas at the age of 70. Danny showed extreme courage and fought a valiant battle before succumbing to cancer. He was born in Bensenville, Illinois to mother Helen Trenkoff and father Daniel D. Silianoff on January 24, 1935. Danny graduated from Fenton High School in Bensenville, Illinois in 1953. He continued his education at Elmhurst Community College and through the PGA before joining the Army in 1957. He was stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky from November 1957 to January 1958 as part of the 3rd Armored Division Specialized Training. He spent the remainder of his time stationed in Ft. Lewis, Washington. He was honorably discharged in 1959. Danny became a member of the PGA in November of 1964 and toured competitively for some time. He began working for the Branniger Corporation, opening golf courses in both West Virginia and South Carolina before returning to Illinois to become a Golf Pro at a number of courses around the Chicagoland area including Mowhawk Golf Course and White Pines Golf course, both located in Bensenville, Buffalo Grove Golf Course in Buffalo Grove and Deer Creek Golf Course in Park Forest South. Danny relocated to Texas with his family in 1979 and continued to work as a Golf Pro. From 1979 to 1988, he worked for Crown Colony Country Club in Lufkin, Texas. He opened Southwyck Golf Course in Pearland, Texas from 1988 to 1994 and from 1994 to 1997; he was a part of both Jersey Meadows in Houston, Texas and Bayonett and Blackhorse in Monterrey, California. From 1998-2001, he was a Pro at Creekview Golf Course in Crandall, Texas and from 2001-2004 he was at Columbia Lakes Golf Course in West Columbia, Texas. He retired to Lakeway, Texas in 2004, having been a Golf Pro and member of the PGA for 40 years. Danny is survived by his devoted wife, Jessie; son, Danny Jr. and wife Beth of Chicago, Illinois; daughter, Jill Mikeska and husband James of League City, Texas; daughters, Colleen and Lisa, both of Burleson, Texas; stepsons, Brad Davis and wife Sharon and Mark Davis and wife Tonya; nine grandchildren; and brothers, Jim and George. The viewing will be Monday, December 19th at 1:00 P.M. with the funeral following at 2:00 P.M. at the Lakeway Church, 2203 Lakeway Blvd., Lakeway, Texas. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Dr., Austin, Texas.
